Peach Bread - Church Investors Fund

Peach Bread

Yields: 2 - 5"x9" loaves

    2 c  peach puree (6-8 medium peaches, peeled and blended)              
   1-1/4 c  sugar    
   1/2 c  shortening    
    2    eggs
    2 c  flour
   1/4 t  salt
   1 t  cinnamon
   1 t  baking soda
   1 t  baking powder
   1 t  vanilla
   1 c  chopped nuts (optional)
Combine flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. In a separate bowl, mix together peach puree, shortening, eggs, and vanilla. Combine the dry ingredients and the peach mixture. Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 5"x9" loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes.
